Choosing somewhere to live is a monumental task and you probably want all the information before making the choice. The decision requires looking at many aspects of the neighborhood and deciding if they will fit your lifestyle. One aspect that many people can overlook when searching for a place to call home are the local breakfast and coffee shops. These shops can be vital parts of your life when it comes to working or studying. Thankfully, Auburn has a large selection.

The benefits of living in a college town are endless, but let us introduce you another:

Ross House Coffee

An Auburn staple, Ross House is comfy and inviting. This unique shop was originally a historic home that the Auburn community petitioned to save. The owner, Toni Holt, decided to reimagine the house into the coffee shop that we know and love today.

Ross House is open six days a week for all of your needs. Here, you can find both coffee drinks, meals, and homemade pastries. In addition, the interesting layout provides rooms that are perfect for working, studying, company parties, or gathering with friends.

Coffee Cat

Coffee Cat is a popular spot from students looking for a relaxing spot to study to friends looking to catch up over a cup of coffee or tea. This shop is located right in the heart of downtown Auburn and features lots of seating! They are open seven days a week and post updates to hour changes on their Instagram.

This unique coffee shop is a new addition to the Auburn community. At Well-Read, lovers of wine, book, and/or coffee can find a space to relax and take a break from a busy day. The goal of this spot is to create a lounge that can be used for anything from studying to a casual date night.

Not only can you find beverages here, but there is also a wide selection of books that have been curated by staff who are excited to share their preferences with you! Well-read is open seven days a week and specific hours can be found on their website.

The Bean

Located across from the popular Foosackly’s restaurant, the Bean is also a popular spot for families and students alike. Known around town for their famous cinnamon rolls. This coffee shop provides a unique aesthetic to socialize, study, or work. They are open 5 days a week (Tuesday-Saturday).

Mama Mocha’s

Mama Mocha’s Coffee includes both a shop as well as a roastery. The coffee they produce is shipped around the country! Known for their unique and tasty blends, Mama Mocha’s will even deliver at no charge within 20 miles of their emporium. The emporium, the name given to the coffee shop itself, is located just one street behind the Auburn University campus. They are open Monday-Saturday and offer a large variety of drink options as well as food selection.

Coffee shops provide a place for people to step away from their busy lives and socialize or get things marked off their to-do list. These sanctuaries are necessary for people of all ages and are just one of the many aspects that makes Auburn such a great place to live.
